Since establishing our London office in 2021, we’ve served over 137,000 users spanning over 70 countries in the region — including prominent industry leaders such as Monzo, GoCardless, Hello Fresh, and Rapha.

As UK and European HR leaders continue to focus on developing high-performing, engaged teams, our executive team traveled from our San Francisco and New York offices to connect with (and learn from) our customers, team, and the wider HR leader community.

Lattice CEO Sarah Franklin, president Laurabeth Harvey, and chief marketing officer Liz Walton Egan landed in London at the end of April, where we had planned a jam-packed series of impactful events.

Happy Hour for HR: WorkRamp and Lattice

Setting the tone for an engaging week, we joined forces with our long-time partner, WorkRamp, to host an evening of cocktails and conversation at the iconic Hawksmoor Spitalfields bar in East London. The evening provided a valuable opportunity for people leaders to connect and discuss their biggest challenges and how to overcome them. Other hot topics included AI and the skills gap.

The Future of Strategic HR

Over coffee and croissants in the South Place Hotel’s beautiful “secret garden,” we brought together Lattice customers and HR leaders from the wider UK community for a morning of insightful discussions around the future of HR.

Lattice’s international general manager, Stan Massueras, and president Laurabeth Harvey shared how strategic HR hinges on manager empowerment and enablement, leveraging technologies like AI to create connection, actionable employee insights, and simplified HR processes to boost efficiency.

There were also plenty of opportunities for guests to learn from each other and hear how other people leaders are approaching performance management and talent strategy.

Meeting our EMEA-based customers face-to-face in London and hearing their insights was an exceptional experience. We received some incredible feedback on how Lattice has directly impacted their productivity, as well as early adoption results from our AI Engagement tools, in terms of huge time savings for their managers. We can’t wait to keep growing with them,” said Laurabeth Harvey, president at Lattice.

“GAME” Time at HR Technologies 2024

Innovation took centre stage at HR Technologies, held at ExCel London, where Lattice CEO Sarah Franklin delivered a compelling keynote on “Making the Employee Experience More Human with AI.”

Addressing HR leaders and executives, Sarah shared how augmenting managers with AI represents the biggest lever to accelerate growth, innovation, and performance within organisations, and how Lattice AI helps our customers better understand their employees, drive performance effectively, and scale personalised communications. In other words, it’s “GAME” time for managers - the Great Augmented Manager Era.

Sarah was joined on stage by Lauren Cullen, global VP of people at Intercom, for a fireside chat delving into the transformative power of AI in unlocking organisational growth and performance.

Lauren shared exclusive insights on Intercom’s early adoption of AI and a behind-the-scenes look at how it’s helping relieve managers from low complexity, high-frequency tasks and freeing them up for higher value, more strategic work.

Connecting Over Dinner at The Savoy

As the week drew to a close, we had the privilege of hosting a dinner at one of London’s most iconic hotels, The Savoy. Opened in 1889, The Savoy was the first hotel in the world to adopt and introduce numerous technologies and was known for innovation, so it was only fitting that we held our event there.

At the dinner, people leaders shared perspectives and experiences on driving HR innovation at a global level. Sarah unveiled our AI releases, including AI Engagement Insights, Talent Reviews, Performance Trends, Bias Check, Personalised Growth Plans and more, all of which are designed to augment managers with tools to better understand employees and drive performance more effectively.

It was an honour to connect with people leaders doing such exceptional work in an intimate setting together.

Looking Ahead to an Even Greater Future

Across the week, every meeting and dialogue resonated with the shared vision of creating high-performing cultures where people thrive, doing the best work of their lives.

The future of HR is here — and we’re thrilled to be powering it in tandem with People teams across the globe to turn managers into leaders, employees into high-performers, and companies into the best places to work.
